Mehrad Nazari, Ph.D., MBA, E-RYT-500 is a senior teacher of the Walt Baptiste Method of Raja Yoga and was personally trained by Yogi Raj Walt Baptiste. Mehrad has been teaching yoga and meditation since 1992.

He was initiated in Himalayan Yoga Meditation Tradition by Swami Veda Bharati of Rishikesh, India. He has also received initiation by the Zen Master Kyozan Joshu Roshi, and H.H. The Dalai Lama.

Mehrad is a Continuing Education Specialist in Yoga for the American Council on Exercise. He and Michele are presenters for Inner IDEA, the International Association of Health and Fitness Professionals. They have been on the faculty of the groundbreaking annual IDEA Conference from its inception. Inner IDEA is the health and fitness industry’s leading event dedicated to visionary mind-body-spirit integration research and techniques.

Mehrad with his wife, Michele Hébert, provide Raja Yoga and health classes, workshops, and retreats around the world. Their pioneering work in mind-body-spirit integration introduces Raja Yoga and meditation methods into the varied worlds of medicine, fitness, education, the spa industry, and the corporate wellness arena.

Mehrad and Michele regularly offer their unique Raja Yoga and meditation programs and workshops at Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California, Kripalu Yoga Center in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, and Feathered Pipe Ranch in Helena, Montana.

Since 2008 Mehrad has presented Swami Veda Bharati (founder of the Association of Himalayan Yoga Meditation Societies International) at world-class spas around the globe. It is a visionary Ashram Program to transcend the current health spa services, focusing on profound spiritual transformation. Rightfully, the Ashram Program has been acclaimed as the leading spiritual program of international spas.

In addition, Dr. Nazari is the founder of Enlightened Negotiation. He served as an adjunct professor of Business Negotiation for ten years at the United States International University in San Diego. Mehrad developed a forward-thinking mindset on negotiation during his studies, research, and tenure.

He advocates the application of Raja Yoga principles for personal happiness, professional effectiveness and joyful, sustainable living – promoting the health of family, community and the planet.
